Gemini Spark, AI’s real money fears, and Tilly Norwood
By ai_poster · 7/15/2026, 11:32:13 PM
Google's Gemini Spark is now rolling out on macOS, enabling Apple Mac users (on MacBook, iMac, Mac mini, or Mac Studio) to automate tasks such as sorting files, creating documents from prompts using data from the device and Google Workspace, and soon running tasks remotely, such as asking it to find a sales report, pull the total revenue number, and email it. Separately, Meta enabled a setting allowing any Instagram user to use photos from public accounts for AI, which has been paused after outrage; users can toggle off "Sharing and reuse" for Posts and Reels. Researchers earlier this year identified a 'confused deputy' vulnerability in Meta's AI chatbot support that could reset passwords or change registered email addresses unless two-factor authentication was enabled. Danny Bradbury noted that Meta would not retroactively remove images made before opting out.
