A 25-year-old AI graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology is torn between continuing his US job search and accepting a Data Scientist position in India with an annual salary of nearly Rs 20 lakh. The graduate, who completed his MS in Artificial Intelligence with an 80 percent scholarship through a research assistantship, has around Rs 5 lakh remaining in student loans. He has been applying for AI and Data Scientist roles in the US for the past two to three months but has not received a single interview call. He has been asked to confirm his decision on the Indian offer by the end of July.
