Meituan-W (03690.HK) has internally begun restricting the use of the Doubao large language model and issued a notice this week requiring all business teams to conduct self-inspections of existing Doubao-related operations and plan migration to models such as LongCat and DeepSeek. If migration is not feasible, teams must submit an explanation of the reasons and justification for continued use, and follow a separate approval process. Meituan had already adjusted its internal policies on large model usage as early as April, discontinuing its recommendation for business units to use Alibaba Cloud’s Qwen model, and any continued use now requires prior approval.
