KB Financial Group is pursuing a group-wide AI transformation (AX) with Google Cloud using generative AI and cloud technology, announcing on July 28 it will expand strategic cooperation with Google Cloud in AI and data. The two companies will cooperate on AI-based work innovation, improving customer financial experiences, data-based decision-making, and building an AI financial platform. KB Financial has developed a data analysis AI agent, KB DAVIS, using Google Cloud's generative AI model Gemini, which finds and analyses data and provides results when users ask questions in everyday language. It plans to expand KB DAVIS into a personalised AI work assistant. For customer consultations, it will apply a conversational AI agent called KB Star Byeoli, which provides real-time natural language conversation based on multimodal AI technology. KB Star Byeoli has completed internal testing and is set to be applied gradually at customer touchpoints. KB Financial plans to apply real-time interpretation in about 70 languages to KB Star Byeoli. A KB Financial official stated the company will develop AI as a core foundation for building future financial services.
