Nvidia's RTX 5090, featuring 21,760 CUDA cores and 32GB of GDDR7 memory, is one of the most expensive GPUs in 2026, costing up to two times its MSRP of $2,000. This has led cost-sensitive AI builders to consider Intel's Arc Pro B70, which has a reference price of $950 and 32GB of GDDR6 memory, roughly a quarter of most RTX 5090 SKUs. Intel's Arc Pro B70 focuses on professional AI workloads using the BMG-G31 "Big Battlemage" chip. Puget Systems tested a 4-card Arc Pro B70 configuration, finding it 4-5x faster in decode tasks than the RTX 5090 due to 1792 GB/s versus 608 GB/s memory bandwidth. However, models requiring more compute and bandwidth favor the RTX 5090, while memory-intensive models benefit from the B70's cost efficiency and larger memory capacity.
