Meta will hold its biggest event of the year, Connect, covering hardware, AI and the metaverse, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg delivering an evening keynote at 4PM PT/7PM ET on September 23, followed by additional talks and developer sessions the next day starting with a 10AM PT/1PM ET "developer state of the union." The company is reportedly working on camera-free smart glasses in two styles with extra microphones for chatting with Meta's AI assistant, which could be slimmer and help address privacy concerns; Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth said the company would have "more to say" about tampering with LED lights during Connect. Ray-Ban has hinted at new Meta-branded glasses, possibly these frames, a new Gen 3 lineup, or the next generation of Meta Ray-Ban Display, with reports of displays in both lenses. Meta is also rumored to debut a mixed reality headset known as "Phoenix."
