AXA rolls out Microsoft 365 Copilot to employees worldwide
By ai_poster · 7/21/2026, 7:51:59 PM
AXA has begun a large-scale deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot to employees across the globe, extending its AI-at-scale strategy three years after it first launched Secure GPT, its internal generative AI service. The rollout will embed AI assistance into Microsoft Office tools including Teams, Outlook and Word, with the aim of helping staff execute daily tasks and collaborate more effectively. Secure GPT was built on Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service and was previously rolled out to AXA's roughly 140,000 employees globally. Matthieu Caillat, group chief technology and AI officer, said the deployment marked a new milestone in the insurer's ambition to stay at the forefront of innovation. AXA said it will also accelerate a wider AI upskilling programme alongside the rollout. Karima Silvent, deputy general secretary, said the new solutions built on the momentum of Secure GPT's deployment. The rollout places AXA alongside a growing list of insurers making similar moves, including Legal & General, which signed a three-year agreement with Microsoft in June 2026 extending Microsoft 365 Copilot to its entire 10,000-strong global workforce.
