Cohere announced a proposed agreement to acquire AISLE, a company building autonomous systems to discover and remediate previously unknown vulnerabilities in critical software. By combining sovereign AI and cybersecurity expertise, Cohere plans to launch Cohere Cyber, expanding its platform to help enterprises and governments secure AI systems in an increasingly complex threat landscape. The proposed transaction represents another step in Cohere’s mission to build a sovereign AI platform combining frontier AI models, agentic applications, secure deployment infrastructure, and advanced security capabilities. It also reflects continued investment in Europe; following its acquisition of Reliant AI and partnership with Aleph Alpha, the addition of AISLE would deepen Cohere’s presence across the region and strengthen European AI and cybersecurity capabilities. Founded in 2024, AISLE has developed AI systems capable of discovering, validating and helping remediate previously unknown vulnerabilities in complex production software, combining foundation models with specialized security expertise, large-scale code analysis, rigorous validation and automated remediation. In its first year out of stealth, AISLE discovered more than 500 previously unknown vulnerabilities assigned CVEs across more than 100 codebases, including all 12 vulnerabilities in OpenSSL’s January security release and 18 of the 24 CVEs in curl’s latest release.
