Google's Spark agentic AI tool, which rolled out to its AI Pro subscription tier last week, is now available in the Chrome web browser. Spark enables Gemini to use your connected passwords and direct logins to reduce friction in account-requiring processes, such as booking tickets. In an example, a user asks Spark to find the cheapest nonstop flights, log in to their Skytravel account, fill in relevant information, and notify them when ready to book. After permission is granted, Spark uses a saved password in Chrome to log in and set up a flight booking, then notifies the user to finalize it. Google states the option keeps “you in the loop on sensitive actions, such as payments, by handing the task back to you.” Google confirms Spark includes improved protection against prompt injection attacks, where malicious content could trick AI into granting bad actors access to sensitive information, though opening personal accounts to AI may pose a security risk depending on the websites or tasks involved. To use Spark, a Google AI Pro subscription costs $19.99 a month (approximately AED 73 / SAR 75) or the AI Ultra tier costs $99.99 a month. The feature is rolling out to Chrome users in the US now.
