With the launch of Apple Intelligence in 2024, Apple began focusing on AI, and after two years, the new Siri AI is coming to millions of iPhones, iPads, and Macs this year—first in public beta versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate, with full releases later in 2026. Siri AI offers improved answers, more contextual awareness, and syncs chats across devices, appearing as its own app for the first time. Advanced customizations are exclusive to devices like the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air, iPads with an M4 chip or later and at least 12GB of RAM, and Macs with an M3 chip or later and at least 12GB of RAM. Users can access Siri AI via a “hey Siri” command, pressing the side button, or launching the app, available through the Dynamic Island on iPhones, Spotlight on iPads and Macs, and the menu bar on Macs. Siri AI provides better real-world knowledge, answering questions like “when’s that Taylor Swift gig in New York?” or “how many days until the NBA season starts?” with accurate, informed answers. It handles queries such as explaining DNA, brainstorming birthday party ideas, resetting an iPhone, replacing a showerhead, or attracting birds to a garden. However, Siri AI cannot generate images, unlike ChatGPT and Gemini.
