According to a Bloomberg report, Apple may launch its first smart glasses at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2027 with privacy in focus. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman stated that Apple is prototyping "a slew of new hardware and software-related privacy features" currently unavailable on any products, and Apple’s marketing may focus on privacy compared to rival products like the Meta Ray-Bans. Apple has considered a version with cameras that power AI features but do not allow users to take photos or record videos, and has also tested prototypes without any cameras. However, Gurman said the most likely version will include cameras. The device is expected to include speakers and microphones for listening to music, making phone calls, and hearing Siri notifications. Apple is reportedly aiming to launch the smart glasses in late 2027.
