Unitree Technology’s expected IPO is becoming a new catalyst for the robotics industry, prompting the market to reassess the opportunity for robots to move from “concept” to “industry.” As a representative domestic embodied intelligence enterprise, Unitree spans quadruped robots, humanoid robots, robotic arms, and core components. As of August 2026, Unitree Technology has entered a critical stage in its listing process, having submitted its listing application in March 2026 and obtained registration approval in June 2026. The market’s focus is shifting from “can a robotics company go public” to “can the robotics industry enter a phase of large-scale commercialization.” Previously, Unitree’s robots participated in the “YangBOT” segment at the 2025 Spring Festival Gala and again demonstrated motion control capabilities at the 2026 Spring Festival Gala. With the maturation of large AI models, core components, and manufacturing capabilities, robots are transitioning from technology demonstrations to real-world applications. The industry chain’s value is extending from complete machines to execution systems, perception and control, and precision manufacturing. Core components such as lead screws, reducers, and motors are closer to current mass production logic, while vision, force control, and embodied intelligence models represent next-stage growth potential. From an investment perspective, Unitree’s listing does not mean all robotics assets will benefit; attention should focus on enterprises with technological moats, supply chain synergy, and commercialization capability.
