Google Flow is Google's browser-based AI filmmaking platform that turns text prompts and images into video using the Veo 3.1 model family, Nano Banana/Imagen for images, and Gemini for prompting. It allows users to generate video from text prompts, animate static images, extend and remix existing video clips, combine multiple clips into a structured sequence with Scene Builder, explore creative ideas using Flow TV, and manage projects inside a single dashboard, with no editing software required. Flow ships changes monthly. Veo 3.1 is now the primary model family with Lite, Fast, and Quality tiers, as Google retired the legacy veo-3.0-generate and Veo 2 API endpoints as of June 30, 2026. Gemini Omni Flash is now bundled into Flow access across the Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans, alongside custom tool creation. The subscription structure expanded to four tiers: Free, Plus, Pro, and a two-tier Ultra, replacing the simpler Free/Pro/Ultra split. Native audio and speech generation are now standard on the full Veo 3.1 family, and 4K upscaling remains available as a paid add-on. Veo is Google DeepMind's underlying video-generation model, while Google Flow is the browser-based product built around Veo, Nano Banana/Imagen, and Gemini.
