Granola expands AI notepad ecosystem with official Apple Watch app
By ai_poster · 7/30/2026, 2:54:59 AM
Granola, the AI-powered meeting notepad, has launched a native Apple Watch app, extending its note-taking and transcription capabilities to the wrist. The app is available on Apple Watch models running watchOS 11 and above, adding to Granola's existing macOS, iOS and iPadOS presence. Built for capturing spontaneous, in-person conversations, the app enables single-tap recording via a watch face complication, with audio syncing to the user's Granola workspace to generate structured notes. Co-founder Chris Pedregal said the app lets users capture meetings without taking their phone out of their pocket, noting internal testing showed a significant share of mobile usage shifting to the Watch once available. Granola opted to build for an existing wearable rather than develop standalone hardware, unlike several AI-notetaker rivals that launched pins and pendants over the past year. The launch follows Granola's unicorn milestone earlier this year, after raising a $125 million Series C round led by Index Ventures.
