Google's June Pixel Drop update for compatible Pixel smartphones introduces new Gemini-powered features, multitasking improvements, and communication upgrades. The update includes Screen Reactions, which lets users record their screen while simultaneously capturing themselves through the front-facing camera, with the ability to reposition and resize the camera feed. New Gemini capabilities allow users to describe a concept in natural language to generate a video from text, images, and existing video clips, and also introduce AI-generated avatars and music-generation tools that create songs from simple text prompts. Voice Translate on the Pixel 10a provides live translation during phone calls, currently supporting English and Hindi. The update also allows users to create personalized voicemail greetings using recorded audio, expands access to call transcription features, and improves call screening in several regions, including India. Additionally, Google is expanding support for floating bubbles, allowing supported apps to remain accessible in small floating windows above other applications.
