Employer-brand video used to need a budget. AI is changing what recru…

ByteDance’s AI video model Seedance 2.5, unveiled in June at its Volcano Engine FORCE conference, is changing what recruiters can produce for employer-brand video. From a written description or a single uploaded image, it generates one continuous thirty-second video at native 4K, producing sound in the same pass as the picture. It accepts up to fifty reference inputs in a single run, holding a consistent look, brand palette, or setting across the clip. ByteDance reports the newer model follows a written brief around twenty per cent more closely than its predecessor, though this figure is the company's own claim. For recruitment marketers, a usable, on-brand thirty-second clip can now come from a sentence and a few reference images rather than a production schedule. Thirty seconds is almost exactly the length a recruitment clip wants to be, long enough to establish a role, place, and tone, and short enough for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, or TikTok. Earlier AI video stayed coherent for only a couple of seconds, but holding a steady shot for a full half-minute turns the technology into something a talent team can plan around. When a clip renders in about a minute, video becomes something a recruiter can produce inside the hiring window, allowing a role that opens on Monday to have a short, branded advert by Tuesday.
