Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang has invested in Nace.AI, a U.S.-based startup founded by Kazakhstanis Dos Bakytzhan, Zhanibek Datbayev and Abulhair Saparov. According to Bakytzhan, Yang decided to invest immediately after a two-hour meeting with the founding team. Nace.AI develops AI solutions for businesses, focusing on specialized metamodels for audits, financial analysis, compliance and data processing rather than general-purpose systems. The startup currently employs about 30 people, has offices in Silicon Valley and Astana, and has already raised $21.5 million from General Catalyst and other international investors, completing the funding round in less than 36 hours. It is already working with major international corporations, including firms from the Big Four.
