The technology was supplied by domestic digital human startup Cleon, which creates real-time conversational digital humans using one photo and 30 seconds of voice, and has supplied its technology to over 100 companies domestically and internationally, including in the U.S. and Japan. The AI partner appears on a tablet PC screen, engaging in real-time voice and video conversations during dates. Multiple AI technologies operate simultaneously: real-time speech-to-text converts speech, voice activity detection identifies speech start and end to avoid overlaps, and "model orchestration" deploys lightweight models for casual chats, while deep-learning models handle dialogue summarization and long-term memory. In emotionally significant scenes, such as breakups, the system switches to a high-performance model with superior contextual understanding. The AI’s facial expressions and gestures adapt to responses tagged with emotions like "laugh," and it switches to a separate mode for production staff questions, which are not stored in memory. Long-term memory and relationship-state management extract and summarize key conversation points, storing them for retrieval in new dialogues.
