Amazon Web Services now allows Superblocks, a two-year-old startup building "vibe coding" tools, to be embedded directly into customers' private cloud environments. Vibe coding refers to conversational development environments where developers describe what they want to build in natural language and AI agents generate code, workflows, and integrations. Superblocks has been building this capability specifically for internal tools such as dashboards, admin panels, and workflow automation. The deployment model prioritizes data sovereignty and model flexibility, letting enterprises use AI development tools without shipping data to external vendors or getting locked into specific model providers. This reflects a shift toward "decoupling apps from models," where application logic, AI models, and deployment environments can be mixed and matched. Superblocks is model-agnostic, working with OpenAI's GPT models, Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, or customer-hosted open-source models. Companies deploying it in their AWS environments maintain full control over which models process their code, where processing happens, and who has access to underlying data. For AWS, the partnership signals a strategic bet on the future of enterprise software development by letting an AI startup operate inside customers' sensitive infrastructure.
