10 Qodo: Ensuring generated code is reliable
By ai_poster · 6/18/2026, 7:01:14 PM
Qodo, formerly Codium, was founded by Itamar Friedman, ex-Nvidia and ex-Alibaba, and Dedy Kredo to help companies using automated code generators like Claude Code, GitHub, Copilot, Cognition, or Cursor ensure their generated code is safe and reliable. After a JP Morgan executive called to clarify which of two companies with the same name they worked for, they changed the name to Qodo. Under its new name, Qodo enables customers of Anthropic, OpenAI, and Cursor to ensure generated code is safe and reliable. CEO Itamar Friedman says code generators are becoming new software manufacturers and Qodo will be tomorrow's code monitors, similar to Wiz and Datadog for the cloud. With customers including Nvidia, Ford, Red Hat, monday.com, and government customers, Qodo's revenue growth skyrocketed. Industry sources estimate Qodo's revenue last year at less than $10 million; this year the company expects $30 million revenue or more, with transaction size leaping from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. A single agreement signed last month totaled $5 million. Competitors include CodeRabbit from California and Grafana.
