According to Google's latest State of AI Infrastructure report, which surveyed more than 1,400 senior IT leaders, 83% of organizations need infrastructure upgrades to support production-scale agentic AI. The report also found that 78% of organizations now source their generative AI solutions from their primary cloud provider, up 30 percentage points from 2025. This increase suggests enterprises are adopting AI capabilities through existing cloud platforms rather than assembling separate tools from multiple vendors. Additionally, 79% of tech leaders identified security, governance, and MLOps challenges as significant barriers.
