Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won are attending Google Camp, a closed-door CEO gathering in Sicily, Italy, following the AI Summit in San Francisco. According to the business community on the 27th, the event will be held at the Rocco Forte Verdura Golf Resort in southwestern Sicily at the end of this month. Google Camp was launched in 2013 by Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Lee has attended for three consecutive years since 2022, while Chey first attended in 2024; both could not attend last year as they visited the United States to support U.S.-Korea tariff negotiations. At the event, they are expected to discuss cooperation in AI infrastructure fields such as AI semiconductor and data centers with global big tech executives, including memory supply and next-generation product development for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for AI servers. Earlier, on the 24th, Lee and Chey attended the AI Summit in San Francisco, where Lee met with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Broadcom CEO Hock Tan, and Chey unveiled cooperation plans with Nvidia related to AI data centers and next-generation HBM.
