LG Uplus and LS Electric signed a "business agreement for the advancement of AIDC power infrastructure and the joint development and demonstration of next-generation DC power solutions" on July 22, following a signing ceremony at LS Yongsan Tower in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on July 21. The companies will jointly verify the stability and efficiency of 800V DC-based power technology and develop power solutions for ultra-high-density GPU server environments. LG Uplus will provide power system design proposals based on its 27 years of data center operational expertise and power data from actual AIDC operations, while LS Electric will develop power solutions and advance power data analysis and diagnostic technologies. LG Uplus expects to strengthen its core AIDC capabilities, having already integrated LG Electronics' liquid cooling solutions and LG Energy Solution's UPS batteries into a "One LG"-based ecosystem, and plans to secure comprehensive competitiveness in AIDC design, construction, and operation.
