Genesys acquired Pinkfish on June 30, 2026, to enhance its capabilities in integrating AI agents in contact centers, adding technology designed to cut the time it takes enterprises to stand up AI agents inside contact center operations. The acquisition gives Genesys a faster on-ramp for agentic AI, a category of AI that can reason, plan and execute tasks across systems without step-by-step human instruction. On the same day, Couchbase announced new capabilities including Agent Memory, a layer that allows AI agents to retain context across sessions, and is extending its platform to edge devices. MongoDB's latest tooling addresses retrieval accuracy and regulatory compliance, two obstacles that stall enterprise AI projects.
