The leaked documents reportedly outline plans to redesign sections of a massive AWS data center to accommodate new hardware requirements, as enterprises demand clusters of thousands of graphics processing units (GPUs) for training and running sophisticated AI models. AI accelerators consume significantly more electricity than standard processors while generating far more heat, requiring upgrades with stronger electrical infrastructure, denser server racks, and advanced cooling technologies, including liquid cooling systems.
