Meta has awarded nearly USD $2 million in AI Glasses Impact Grants to 30 organizations across the United States, supporting accessibility, education, and workforce safety. The recipients span accessibility, workforce training, agriculture, and jobsite safety, showing AI glasses being applied to everyday hands-free tasks across many sectors. Nearly 500 groups applied for just 30 grant spots, a response suggesting rising interest in hands-free AI glasses. Announced on August 11, 2026, the grants fund organizations using artificial intelligence glasses, such as Ray-Ban Meta glasses, for workforce safety, education, accessibility, agriculture, and economic opportunity. Meta launched the program in January this year with two grant types: Accelerator Grants for organizations already scaling proven impact, and Catalyst Grants for developers building applications through Meta’s Device Access Toolkit. The company stated it received nearly 500 applications and selected recipients based on demonstrated impact, scalability, and relevance. Recipients came together in New York City last month for the AI Glasses Impact Grant Celebration & Community Summit, a three-day event for recipients, developers, and community stakeholders to connect and collaborate. The full list of 30 recipients includes organizations such as the American Council of the Blind, Easter Seals Greater Houston’s BridgingApps Program, United Spinal Association, The Carroll Center for the Blind, Citadel Safety Group, ManageXR, Agerpoint, and Trust Carbo.
