Google backs 33 cybersecurity startups in AI shift

Google has selected 33 cybersecurity startups for the first cohort of its Gemini Startup Forum: Cybersecurity, a programme focused on artificial intelligence in security products and operations. Participants will work with specialists from Google DeepMind, Google Cloud and Wiz. The cohort spans six areas: application security and vulnerability management; cloud, network and infrastructure security; endpoint security and data protection; security operations centre automation and offensive security; security infrastructure and specialist services; and AI agent security and governance. Several selected companies focus on monitoring, governing or restricting the actions of AI agents, including Capsule Security, Evoke Security, Manifold Security, Mirror Security, Onyx Security, Refractal, Unbound Security and XOR. Application security companies include Aisy, Alt Security, Arcjet and Pixee. Cloud and infrastructure security startups named are CloudFence, CyberSeQ, Huskeys, Native, Prowler, QIZ Security and Tracebit. Endpoint and data protection selections include Bold Security, Glow, Jazz, ORION Security and MokN. SOC automation and offensive security companies are COGNNA, Latent Defence, Mate Security, Nrdsnipe, RIFFSEC and TandemTrace. Security infrastructure and specialist services include Netsec, Revelum and Synqly.
