Synthetic data fuels humanoid race as Korea firms scale robot training
By ai_poster · 6/28/2026, 1:12:53 PM
According to the robotics industry on the 27th, domestic physical artificial intelligence company RLWRLD unveiled its self-developed Robotics foundation model, "RLDX-1." A Robotics foundation model is a general-purpose AI model that learns from large-scale data and can be applied to diverse environments and tasks. RLDX-1 is designed to allow a robot's hand to move as precisely as a human hand, understanding weight, shape, movement of objects, and complex physical environments. Data is the key factor determining the performance of a robot foundation model. RLWRLD built a system to independently secure data needed to train its vision-language model and vision-language-action model for robots. RLDX-1 collects data by filming human hands and tracking bare-hand movements, converting filmed joint movements into digital data for VLA training, enabling the model to secure quality and volume of data for learning complex hand movements. Separately, on the 7th, research teams from four universities including Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China released a paper detailing methods for securing synthetic data using 3D simulation and training humanoid datasets.
