Halo Studios released a July 29, 2026 update for Halo: Campaign Evolved, improving stability, enemy AI, and performance on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The patch enhances compatibility with supported graphics drivers and resolves mission-specific issues. Stability improvements include fixes for the introduction cinematic in The Maw with FSR enabled on AMD graphics cards using driver versions 26.6.2 or 26.6.4, added GPU driver warnings on PC, and improved stability for the Pillar of Autumn mission. AI adjustments ensure Jackals in The Truth and Reconciliation patrol actively, Spec Ops Elites near Rally Point Delta in Assault on the Control Room engage players, and the Hunter pair consistently engages after approaching the cartographer’s entrance in The Silent Cartographer. A charged Plasma Pistol shot no longer kills players with full health and shields on any difficulty. Performance reduces hitching for players with large friends lists on Windows PC, Steam, and PlayStation. Xbox Gamertags now display during account-linking for PlayStation and Steam players. Download sizes are 13 GB on Xbox, 7 GB on PlayStation, 4 GB on Microsoft Store/Xbox App PC, and 21 GB on Steam. Installing the update resets mid-mission save progress, but unlocked Missions and Rally Points remain available.
