A new workplace trend is emerging where distrust in humans and blind faith in AI are increasing work burdens and stress, according to an article published 2026.08.11. Kim, 35, a corporate planner at a small-to-medium-sized enterprise in Seoul, said his supervisor inputs his market analysis reports into Google AI ‘Gemini’ and instructs it to “Find the errors.” Even when Gemini makes irrelevant critiques, the supervisor demands revisions, claiming “The report is wrong.” Park, 31, at a Seoul-based startup, said his supervisor trusts AI answers more than his explanations, leading him to rephrase his logic through AI and send the response to his boss. A survey by workplace software firm GoTo of 1,250 knowledge workers in 10 countries, including the U.S., UK, Germany, and India, found 30% struggle to work without AI, and 28% now trust AI more than their own judgment. Additionally, 43% admitted using low-quality or suspected false AI content in their work, and 55% do not always review AI outputs for high-stakes tasks. Consulting firm Deloitte noted, “Today’s leaders must make countless decisions in a faster-changing environment than ever before—and they’re turning to AI for solutions.”
