Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han met with Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Matt Garman at AWS headquarters in Seattle, U.S., to discuss the possibility of collaboration. Krafton said in a LinkedIn post on social media on the 24th that this was the first time the CEOs of both companies have met, though Krafton has previously used AWS cloud for games like 'PUBG: Battleground'. Through the meeting, Krafton is understood to be pushing for strengthening cooperation with AWS in research and development of AI technology and utilization of infrastructure. Krafton stated, "The two companies talked about Krafton's AI vision, and discussed how the cloud and AI infrastructure could support Krafton." The possibility of collaboration was also discussed with humanoid robots, AI, and the technology field that extends the virtual world simulation capabilities to the real world. Krafton, which declared "AI First" last year, invested KRW 100 billion to build a GPU cluster based on Nvidia GPUs, is developing its own AI model lineup "Laon," and in February this year established Ludo Robotics, a robotics company, in San Francisco, USA. A Krafton official said, "In this meeting with AWS, we discussed the possibility of cooperation, focusing on Krafton's AI R&D and AWS' cloud and AI infrastructure capabilities. We plan to continue related discussions in the future."
