Wieson Technologies (6272) announced first-half 2026 operating results with consolidated revenue of NT$1.567 billion, gross margin of 21%, and earnings per share of NT$0.13. The automotive segment was affected by declining domestic auto sales in mainland China, while the smart electronics segment faced reduced order demand and delayed pull-ins due to memory chips concentrated in AI applications, surging prices, and chip supply shortages. Despite external challenges, the company maintained gross margin above 20% through cost control and product mix optimization. For the second half of 2026, as AI expands from cloud computing to physical endpoints, Wieson will increase R&D investment in robotics, thermal transfer, and high-frequency high-speed areas, raising R&D expenses to approximately 7% of revenue. In robotics, the company will integrate "Connection × Data × Power × Thermal" capabilities, targeting robotic joints, motor drives, sensors, controllers, machine vision, and edge AI computing, aiming to become an integrated solutions provider for industrial, mobile, and humanoid robots. In advanced thermal transfer, the company noted that high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for AI servers consumes wafer capacity, causing a structural shortage of consumer-grade GDDR memory, affecting PC and notebook shipments and raising costs.
