Whitney Stefko Dover, an executive and senior counsel for Ford, has replaced her custom Claude assistant Claudette with a ChatGPT-built assistant named Gigi, three months after Claudette was credited with saving a marriage. Claudette had collated the family’s emails and calendar into a 4am morning brief titled "Daily Dover." Dover created Gigi in ChatGPT Work, motivated by her husband's longstanding use of OpenAI and an August Substack piece by venture capital firm a16z. Gigi handles day-to-day family operations, provides better drafts of emails and presentations, and makes unprompted suggestions. The transition was smoother because Dover had documented Claudette's workings and uploaded that guide into ChatGPT. Gigi isn't error-free: it once suggested her husband send flowers to his best friend's wife after mistaking her identity, and a grocery order included 12 boxes of bow-tie pasta. Every Friday, Gigi reads a shared grocery list and fills an online cart, though Dover reviews and pays herself; she said she'd cap any card at around $500. Dover has since incorporated a third agent, Ingrid, based on the by-invitation-only Instinct AI system, which can execute functions via text messaging and telephone, layering Ingrid onto Gigi so it can message her husband's agent directly.
