Tesla deployed the Actually Smart Summon (ASS) feature to the Cybertruck in the FSD v14.3.4 (2026.14.6.10) software update, enabling owners to call their vehicles to them or to a parking lot destination via the Tesla mobile app. Before this update, the Cybertruck could not perform Summon. Tesla increased the Actually Smart Summon speed from 6 mph (~10 km/h) to 8 mph (13 km/h) in the last FSD v14.3.3 update, but after testing videos, it appears Tesla did not increase the Summon speed for the Cybertruck for safety reasons due to its large size. The Tesla app highlights the Summon operating area with a blue circle on the navigation screen, which moves as the vehicle moves. Actually Smart Summon stops the vehicle where it feels it is hitting public roads and stalls if it cannot operate further; Tesla has not yet added functionality for the vehicle to park or pull over in such scenarios. During testing, Chuck Cook faced a scenario where the Cybertruck abandoned Summon due to glaring sunlight blinding the cameras, marking the first time Tesla Vision was blocked by the sun’s glare.
