AWS has signed a multi-year joint marketing agreement with Superblocks, a vibe-coding startup, to embed its development tool within the private clouds of AWS customers. The deal, announced this week, enables enterprises to offer vibe coding to business users while keeping all data and applications within their own AWS environment, according to Superblocks CEO Brad Menezes. The collaboration allows Superblocks’ platform to run entirely inside a customer’s AWS private cloud, meaning apps built by business users will not send data to external model providers or databases. Instead, the apps will spin up Amazon Aurora databases within the company’s own cloud, and integrate with Amazon Bedrock, AWS’s AI gateway. This setup ensures that all applications automatically fall under IT’s management and security controls. For AWS, the partnership is part of a broader strategy to support partners where there is strong customer demand and alignment with how customers want to build, as an AWS spokesperson explained. While AWS already offers Kiro, an AI coding agent for developers, and Quick, an AI assistant for business users, neither is a vibe coder in the style of Lovable or Replit. The Superblocks deal is more than a boost for the 50-person startup, which has raised $60 million in Series A funding. It reflects a growing trend among hyperscaler cloud providers to encourage enterprises to separate their AI models from the scaffolding needed to run enterprise AI, and to run that scaffolding on their own clouds.
