Tecan, a global provider of laboratory automation, announced the integration of Agentic AI capabilities into its lab analytics platform Introspect, leveraging the NVIDIA BioNeMo Agent Toolkit. This toolkit enables AI agents to access scientific AI capabilities directly within Introspect, helping laboratories optimize operations by moving beyond reactive troubleshooting toward proactive actions that prevent issues before they impact performance, quality, or scientific outcomes. Early access to the enhanced platform is available, with applications focused on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical laboratory environments. This development, a milestone in the collaboration announced in March 2026, advances Tecan and NVIDIA's shared vision of enabling Data-Driven Laboratories. The work also focuses on agentic guardrails for responsible and reliable AI deployment, supporting transparency and controlled automation. Tecan and NVIDIA will continue developing AI-enabled platforms, including the use of Physical AI for Next-Gen Lab Instrumentation.
