Chinese technology firms, including robotaxi developers, AI startups, and chipmakers, have raised a combined HKUS$212.75 billion (US$27.13 billion) in Hong Kong this year to fund expansion in AI, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing. CATL, the world's largest electric vehicle battery maker, launched a roughly HKUS$39.2 billion (US$5.00 billion) share sale in April, pricing 62.4 million new H shares at HKUS$628.20 each. Chaozhou Three-Circle raised about HKUS$7.16 billion. Dajin Heavy Industry set its Hong Kong listing offer price at HKUS$66.40 a share in June, aiming to raise HKUS$5.77 billion. GigaDevice Semiconductor raised HKUS$4.68 billion in a Hong Kong listing in early January, with shares soaring almost 40% in their debut on January 13. Huaqin raised HKUS$4.6 billion in April. Lingyi iTech, an Apple supplier, priced its IPO to raise about HKUS$8.3 billion. MiniMax Group sought to raise HKUS$16.04 billion via a share sale and bond issue, including about HKUS$9.54 billion from 35.6 million new Class A shares. Momenta Global, a Mercedes-Benz-backed robotaxi firm, raised about HKUS$5.89 billion.
