Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has signed bilateral Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam to equip 800 MCL officers with advanced skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and other future-ready technologies. The MoUs were signed by Mr. Keshav Rao, Director (Human Resources), MCL; Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dean (Academics), IIM Visakhapatnam; and Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge, IIM Raipur. The signing ceremony was held at MCL Headquarters in the presence of Mr. Uday Anant Kaole, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of MCL, along with Functional Directors and senior company officials. The programme will cover Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, AI-driven data analytics, digital transformation strategies, technology-enabled management practices, and innovation and smart decision-making. The initiative aims to support smarter operational planning, data-driven decision-making, improved efficiency and productivity, sustainable mining practices, and enhanced organizational competitiveness.
