On June 30, Alphabet Inc. introduced two new artificial intelligence models, Nano Banana 2 Lite and Gemini Omni Flash AI, designed to expand its AI image and video capabilities. Nano Banana 2 Lite is described as its most cost-efficient Gemini Image generation model, generating images from text in about four seconds and costing $0.034 per 1,000 images. Gemini Omni Flash is built for high-quality video generation and conversational video editing, priced at $0.10 per second of video output, matching the cost of Veo 3.1 Fast. The company stated that with these models, developers can build comprehensive multimedia experiences connecting rapid image generation with video creation and editing. Nano Banana 2 is available through developer platforms, AI mode in Search, NotebookLM, Google Flow, Google Ads, the Gemini app, Google Photos, and Stitch. Gemini Omni Flash, first announced at Google I/O, is now available to developers through Google AI Studio and the Gemini API.
