Oracle Is Not Adding Another AI Model to the Menu. It Is Embedding Go…

Oracle and Google Cloud expanded their partnership on July 30, embedding Gemini models directly into Oracle’s Fusion Applications and NetSuite rather than merely adding another model to Oracle’s developer toolkit. Oracle AI Agent Studio has offered model choice since at least October 2025, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, xAI, and Google, and Oracle has provided Gemini through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Enterprise AI since August 2025. The new move plans to embed Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite and Gemini 3.5 Flash into the ERP, HCM, supply chain, and CRM systems used by more than 14,000 organizations globally, with NetSuite reaching over 44,000 customers across 220 countries. This application-layer integration aims to close the enterprise AI deployment gap, where 80 percent of enterprises embed AI somewhere but only 31 percent ship it into workflows that matter. Oracle’s Fusion Applications already support the Model Context Protocol and Agent-to-Agent communication as of Release 26A, providing standardized connections for agents. The partnership is a competitive signal against platforms like Salesforce’s Agentforce and ServiceNow’s Now Assist, as embedding AI natively within governed workflows offers advantages when execution failures, not hallucinations, kill deployments. Satish Thomas, VP of Google Cloud, framed the partnership as a distribution play to make Gemini easier to use in critical enterprise workflows and agentic applications.
