U.S. artificial intelligence developer xAI announced on July 1 the beta launch of "Voice Agent Builder," a no-code platform for building voice conversation agents. The tool is built on xAI's proprietary "Grok Voice Think Fast 1.0" model and features over 80 preset voices alongside a voice cloning capability that can replicate a specific person's voice from just over two minutes of audio data. Designed for full automation of call center operations and appointment booking, the API is priced at $0.05 per minute. The company stated on X that users can "create their own voice agent in under two minutes." The platform integrates speech-to-text, natural language processing, and text-to-speech into a single interface, supporting over 25 languages. It also integrates with external applications such as Notion, Gmail, and Google Calendar for business automation. Upon account creation, one phone number is automatically issued for the voice agent.
