Rubix Data Centres has appointed veteran digital infrastructure executive Josh Joshi as its Chairman, a strategic hire expected to bolster the company's global portfolio expansion aiming for over 8GW across key regions including APAC. The London-headquartered company, which specializes in developing and operating artificial intelligence (AI) data centre campuses, is building an initial global portfolio exceeding 8 gigawatts (GW) across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. Joshi brings nearly three decades of experience, having previously served as Chairman of AtlasEdge and as an Operating Partner at DigitalBridge, with earlier roles including Chief Financial Officer of Interxion and CFO of Telecity Group. The appointment is part of Rubix's broader effort to assemble senior leadership as it transitions from launch into project development and operations. Rubix, launched in June as part of Submer Group, focuses on a model combining engineering, modular design, and development delivery; the wider Submer Group has deployed over 500 megawatts (MW) of liquid-cooled infrastructure and holds more than 8 GW of powered land across its operational regions.
