Meta has announced a major update to Meta AI, introducing agentic capabilities powered by its Muse Spark 1.1 model. The latest version can now plan tasks, connect with supported apps such as email and calendars, conduct web research, generate slide presentations, and complete multi-step tasks on a user's behalf. The new features are rolling out in select markets through the Meta AI app and meta.ai, with WhatsApp support expected in the coming weeks. According to Meta, the update is aimed at making Meta AI more than a conversational assistant by enabling it to follow through on tasks without requiring repeated prompts.
