Nvidia shares gained 2.4% in the latest session after rising 3.0% the day before, moves attributed to a broad recovery across chip and artificial-intelligence names rather than company-specific developments, with AP reporting simultaneous gains at Broadcom, AMD and Micron and Nvidia delivering the largest positive contribution to the S&P 500. Nvidia confirmed on Wednesday that it will hold a conference call on 17 November to discuss results for the third quarter of fiscal 2027, a period that closed on 25 October, with written commentary from Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress expected to accompany the release. On 27 October the company and Oracle said they would scale Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's superclusters with Vera-Rubin systems to a multi-gigawatt footprint, and Vera Rubin NVL72 and Vera CPUs are now generally available on the platform. Nvidia has committed to participating in Meta's share offering to the tune of $3 billion, while Meta plans heavier use of Nvidia's compute and networking technology for its Muse models and AI agents. Reuters reported on Wednesday — 28 October — that the US Department of Justice has queried the company's agreed $12.93 billion purchase of Hugging Face, examining how the deal might affect competition in AI, and also sought information on acquisitions, stakes, sales practices and customer relationship.
