Perplexity has launched "Perplexity Health," a new platform designed to sync medical records, lab results, and wearable device data into its AI-powered search engine. The platform functions as a central dashboard for medical data and offers connectors for Apple Health data and electronic medical records from more than 1.7 million healthcare providers. It also supports Fitbit, Withings, Clue, and Ultrahuman, with support for Oura rings and the Function platform coming soon. The integration allows users to ask questions based on their own health data, using "Perplexity Computer" technology to coordinate multiple AI agents. Answers rely on distinguished medical literature, including clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed scientific journals, with each answer including citations and direct links to its sources. Perplexity has formed a health advisory board comprising physicians, researchers, and health-tech leaders to evaluate the system according to evidence-based standards.
