Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched a native ChatGPT app designed to support hotel discovery and booking through conversational AI. The new app allows travellers to search across approximately 8,400 hotels in the company’s global portfolio using natural-language prompts in ChatGPT. Users can browse hotels through map-based navigation, amenity filters and interactive hotel cards before being redirected to WyndhamHotels.com to complete bookings. According to the company, the launch reflects changing travel-planning habits, as more travellers use conversational AI platforms to search for accommodation and organise trips. Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said conversational AI is changing the way travellers discover and book hotels, adding that the new integration aims to create a more connected, visual booking experience. The launch follows the company’s earlier AI integrations, including its 2025 rollout on Anthropic’s Claude platform, and confirmed plans for a future integration with Google’s AI Mode. Since 2018, the company has invested more than $450 million into technology initiatives and completed a full migration to cloud-based systems in 2020.
