The Fourth Forum on China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Cooperation was held on September 16 in Nanning, Guangxi, under the theme “AI for Industries, Digitalization for Shared Future.” Co-hosted by the China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center, the China-ASEAN Innovation Cooperation Center for Artificial Intelligence, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Guangxi Institute of Industrial Technology, the forum drew more than 700 government representatives, research scholars, tech entrepreneurs, and venture capital representatives from China and ASEAN countries. Participants focused on embodied intelligence, AI finance, and data circulation, discussing collaborative technological innovation, industrial digital transformation, and deeper pragmatic cooperation in artificial intelligence. The event coincided with the Pinglu Canal being completed and navigable, with “Goods Flow Across Rivers and Seas, Digital Intelligence Connects ASEAN” described as the forum’s distinctive symbol. It followed the path of “R&D in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou + Integration in Guangxi + Application in ASEAN.” The forum opened with “Folk Songs like the Spring River,” featuring human dancers, dancing robots, accompaniment robots, and a digital crowd, and adopted a three-party hosting model of “human host + digital human avatar + intelligent robot,” with Yang Yanqing, Professor of ShanghaiTech University, coordinating with her digital human avatar and AGIBOT Lingxi X2.
