Elon Musk outlined xAI's new structure after the SpaceX merger, addressing a restructure that left only six members of an original founding team of 12 following two exits earlier this week. In the recorded all-hands meeting on Tuesday night, posted on X on Wednesday, Musk described organizing the company to be more effective at scale. He also detailed plans for a Moon base for data centers, stating, "Ultimately, we see a path to maybe launching as much as a terawatt per year of compute from earth," and that to go beyond that, "you have to go to the moon," with a goal to launch AI satellites from the moon and build a mass driver and self-sustaining city there. Product updates include a standalone XChat app and a new transaction app called X Money, set for launch over the next few months. Musk said XChat will be on desktop and handle multi-user video calls, while XMoney, which was live in closed beta within the company, is expected to go to a limited external beta in the next month or two and then worldwide to all X users.
