Ability Enterprise (2374.TW), an optical manufacturer under the ABICO Group with no equity relationship to Japan's Canon Inc., reported first-half 2026 after-tax net profit of NT$511 million (approximately $15.9 million), a year-over-year surge of more than 150%, with earnings per share of NT$1.55. The company announced that vision modules for Japanese and US humanoid robots will officially begin shipping in the second half of the year, while drone optical module shipments are also trending upward. Ability Enterprise made a direct investment in Linker Vision in December 2025, becoming a shareholder alongside Nvidia in the same funding round to build smart city solutions integrating AI vision with the Nvidia Metropolis platform. It also formed a joint venture, "Jiajie Intelligent," with Honlin to target AI smart parking and city surveillance. In recent years, the company has partnered with ABICO Asia to invest in Agility Robotics, with a cumulative total of approximately $20 million, while supplying sensor modules to Mantis Robotics. Founded in 1965, Ability Enterprise originally distributed Japanese Canon cameras and office equipment, later transformed into a digital camera contract manufacturer, and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1995. Second-quarter single-quarter revenue was NT$3.14 billion.
