Microsoft Corporation, the world's leader in operating systems and software for PCs and servers, reported a "Goldilocks" AI quarter. Net sales break down by activity as follows: sale of operating systems and application development tools (42.9%), primarily for servers including Azure, SQL Server, Windows Server, Visual Studio, System Center, and GitHub, as well as Windows; development of cloud-based software applications (37.7%), including Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams; and other (19.4%), primarily software licenses, Microsoft Surface tablets, Xbox consoles and software, and computer accessories. The United States accounts for 51.3% of net sales.
